Daniel Schug has been an Associate Professor at the Université Paris Nanterre since September 2020, where he coordinates English language classes for non-English majors in the Humanities fields.  He has taught English & French in the United States, France, and Italy, working with students at various levels and in a variety of contexts.  His research interests are learner motivation, foreign language anxiety, needs analyses for ESP courses, and the use of technology in language classrooms.  His most recent publications look at the impact of E-tandems on students' confidence when speaking a foreign language and the long-term impacts of COVID-imposed distance learning on language learning motivation.

Hanane Sarnou is a full professor of Sociolinguistics/Applied Linguistics and New Technologies in the Department of English at Abdelhamid Ibn Badis University. She is also the leader of a DSPM research laboratory and leader of two Ph.D. projects and two PRFU projects. Her research areas include ICT use, language and identity, intercultural communication, linguistics, e-learning, applied linguistics and new technologies, culture and language, and teaching methodology. She has published several research papers in various journals.   She has participated in many international conferences in Turkey, Tunis, Qatar, France, and Algeria. She serves as a reviewer in several journals, such as the Iranian Journal of Language Teaching Research, Arab World English Journal, Social Science Journal Setif 3, Studies in Language, Culture and Society Journal (JSLCS), Universal Journal of Educational Research, and Linguistics and Literature Studies. She is also an associate editor in the Studies in Language, Culture and Society Journal (JSLCS).
